Texan Floor is excited to showcase its involvement in the renovation of the Houston Museum of Natural Science Hall of Ancient Egypt exhibit! The Museum approached us with a vision for the creation of a limestone pathway partially obscured with sand as a focal point to draw patrons to the Karnak Gate and into the Temple gallery. Texan Floor worked in concert with Interface and Houston Account Executive Christine Wright to bring this vision to life using ArdexAmericas XF Feather Finish to skim coat the floor.
To achieve this aesthetic Interface and Texan Floor collaborated to develop a custom rendering reflecting a layout of three variably modeled carpet tile planks from Interface’s Equal Measure Collection to perfectly emulate the client’s desired look. Each carpet tile was custom cut and interspersed to exacting specifications provided by the museum. We are proud to be part of such a beautiful project.
The Egypt Hall renovations are ongoing and we look forward to showcasing future installations that Texan Floor will be performing for Nefertari’s Tomb, the Gold Room, and Sennedjem’s Tomb.
